Uno dei modi più semplici per insegnare ai bambini uno stile di vita sostenibile è anche attraverso la cura degli animali domestici. Infatti, che sia un cane o un gatto (o un coniglietto, un criceto...) osservare attraverso la routine del pet quanto possa essere elevato l'impatto ambientale, e comportarsi di conseguenza, è davvero emblematico.
Per esempio, prendiamo la cura di un micio. A partire dalla pappa, fino ad arrivare alla voce più impattante. Ovvero:

One of the simplest ways to teach children a sustainable lifestyle is through pet care as well. In fact, whether it is a canoe or a cat (or a bunny, a hamster ...) observing through the pet's routine how high the environmental impact can be, and behaving accordingly, is truly emblematic.
For example, let's take care of a kitten. Starting from the baby food, up to the most impactful item. That is: cat hygiene. The most polluting aspect is the litter. And so we teach children to choose and use products with minimal impact on the environment.

Taking care of a living being and taking care of the planet, to tell children that everything is interconnected and that we are part of a system in which looking after the well-being of others (whether it is a human being, a tree or an animal) is fundamental.
