Un anno fa è arrivata al Parlamento europeo una proposta per tutelare le aziende davvero ecologiche e, di conseguenza, anche i consumatori. Cercando di prevedere normative più rigide riguardo al greenwashing.
Questa proposta sta prendendo sempre più forma e in modo sempre più netto, al fine di favorire il passaggio a un'economia di tipo circolare. Non basterà, dunque, scrivere sulle confezioni di un prodotto generiche diciture come "ecologico", "biodegradabile" o "naturale". Non sarà nemmeno possibile "ingannare" il consumatore puntando tutto sulla comunicazione relativa alle emissioni di CO2: pratica molto utilizzata dalle multinazionali.
I prodotti ecologici dovranno essere davvero ecologici, nella loro interezza. Ciò significa sostenibilità dall'inizio alla fine della produzione. Senza pennellate verdi di greenwashing!
Perché Greencat è davvero sostenibile? Perché è 100% biodegradabile, certificata più solubile della carta igienica e no waste. Certificata anche OK compost HOME: puoi dunque smaltirla nel WC senza inquinare o intasare, nel compost o nell'organico. Inoltre, proviene da economia circolare.
In etichetta abbiamo la materia prima, ovvero l'orzo, ma solo nelle sue parti non edibili (quelle che altrimenti andrebbero buttate) e una piccola percentuale di lieviti naturali.
Non usiamo fragranze e, appunto, non utilizziamo ciò che potrebbe diventare cibo. Cosa che invece accade nel caso di lettiere a base di mais o di tofu. Nemmeno il pellet è considerabile ecologico! Ovviamente, al vertice della piramide delle lettiere inquinanti troviamo le lettiere minerali che creano rifiuti super inquinanti, non sono sicure per la salute di micio, non provengono da economia circolare e comportano un massiccio consumo di suolo (montagne).
Le lettiere davvero ecologiche costano di più? Sì ma ne consumi meno: nel caso di Greencat tutto ciò è realtà. Usiamo infatti un sistema brevettato tutto naturale che previene la formazione di cattivi odori. Inoltre, la lettiera agglomera bene. Il risultato è un consumo ridottissimo di prodotto con conseguente risparmio.

A year ago, a proposal arrived in the European Parliament to protect truly ecological companies and, consequently, also consumers. Trying to envisage stricter regulations regarding greenwashing. This proposal is taking more and more shape and in an ever clearer way, in order to favor the transition to a circular economy. Therefore, it will not be enough to write generic words such as "ecological", "biodegradable" or "natural" on the packaging of a product.
Nor will it be possible to "deceive" the consumer by betting everything on communication relating to CO2 emissions: a practice widely used by multinationals. Ecological products will have to be truly ecological, in their entirety. This means sustainability from start to finish of production. Without green brushstrokes of greenwashing! Why is Greencat really sustainable? Because it is 100% biodegradable, certified more soluble than toilet paper and no waste.
Also OK compost HOME certified: you can therefore dispose of it in the toilet without polluting or clogging, in compost or organic waste. Furthermore, it comes from the circular economy. On the label we have the raw material, i.e. barley, but only in its inedible parts (those that would otherwise be thrown away) and a small percentage of natural yeasts. We do not use fragrances and, precisely, we do not use what could become food. Which instead happens in the case of litters based on corn or tofu. Not even pellets can be considered ecological! Obviously, at the top of the pyramid of polluting litters we find mineral litters which create super polluting waste, are not safe for the health of cats, do not come from a circular economy and involve massive consumption of soil (mountains).
Do truly ecological litter cost more? Yes, but you consume less: in the case of Greencat all this is reality. In fact, we use an all-natural patented system that prevents the formation of bad smells. Also, the litter clumps well. The result is a very low consumption of product with consequent savings.
