Perché i brand fanno greenwashing?

E, naturalmente, accettiamo consigli!

The "green" trend is "exploding". Almost every brand, especially for more than a year now, announces a green turn. All of this is necessary and sustainability is a real urgency. But deception is around the corner ...

Have you ever heard of greenwashing? It is a marketing operation that presents a company as "sustainable" or ecological when in reality this is not really the case. A communication strategy that remains on the surface, as if, in fact, a coat of green paint was being passed on a decidedly non-ecological production or distribution process.

Why do brands greenwash? To "clean up" and try to position itself in a market that fortunately facilitates ecologically virtuous realities.

For this reason, you have to be very careful and get to the bottom of every marketing message, studying the company that communicates it. Making sure that it does not hide exploitation of natural resources but also of the people themselves, in any place in the world production is possibly located.

Greencat has always said no to greenwashing

Greencat has always rejected this type of strategy. Our being green, not only in the name, is authentic because we truly believe that a sustainable change is needed. That there is a need for a new way of understanding the relationship with the planet and with those who inhabit it, whether they are human beings or animals. Or, again, vegetation.

For this reason, we are "circular". We start by using the non-edible parts of barley and create a totally natural and completely biodegradable litter, which can also become compost.

Our packaging does not contain plastic and, above all, we pay attention to two important variables: soil consumption and CO2 emissions.

No soil is consumed to produce Greencat. And to transport it, we try to minimize CO2 emissions. We are aware that even more can be done, which is why we always do research and focus on transparency. And, of course, we take advice!
